Paediatric Occupational Therapy
Assessment and intervention for children who are having difficulties with the practical and social skills necessary for everyday activities eg dressing, eating, schoolwork, play and leisure). This includes children with Additional Support Needs.
Two Occupational Therapists are available to work closely with parents, schools, other health professionals, social work and agencies eg NCH Scotland.
This can take place in the young person’s home, nursery, school and other locations eg hospital site, NCH Scotland, leisure facilities etc across the Western Isles, depending on the needs of the child.
Young people can self-refer.
