Back to school blues?
That time of year again? 🙁
You’ve had six weeks of late nights, long lies and lots of fun but now it’s time to head back to school!
You might be feeling a mix of emotions about the summer holidays coming to an end. It’s totally normal to feel a bit low at the thought of heading back to school.
Here’s our top tips to feel better about heading back to the classroom:
- Try to get yourself organised
But you have ages……right? There’s nothing worse than getting to the night before and realising you’ve forgot to pick something up! It might help to write a list of some things you need to get sorted and gradually start to work your way through them! Have you got your uniform sorted? Checked your timetable? Did you have any work for over the holidays?
2. Message your classmates
You might have spent most of your summer with your school friends but if you’ve been super busy for the last 6 weeks or maybe struggled to keep in touch, chatting to a friend is a great idea! It’s always a good idea to link in with your friends who are also returning to school. Worried about something and need some advice? As well as some moral support, speaking to your friends before going back is also a great way to make sure you’ve got everything sorted!
3. Be sleep schedule savy!
We know… the last thing you want to be doing is setting that early morning alarm BUT making sure you start trying to get back into a routine will help that first morning back feel a little less painful! Try even just an hour or so earlier than usual the week leading up to school. Things like exercise, reading and less screen time are all factors that can help you get a better night of snooze!!
