Dundee Women’s Aid – Cool2Talk

We work individually with a child or young person, becoming their key worker. The key worker uses issue based resources to work through feelings, recording this in the child or young person’s individual journey (Support Plan). The key worker offers a safe and consistent place to discuss/work through feelings.

The CEDAR Project provides a free and voluntary 10-week therapeutic group work programme for school aged children and young people, and their mums to recover from their experiences of domestic abuse. The main aims of CEDAR are to strengthen the relationship between children and their mums and to encourage them to build tools which will support their recovery. As this is a recovery programme, we ask that children and their mums are living safely away from the abuse.

The confidential group sessions use activities and games to focus on different topics including understanding domestic abuse, feelings and emotions, safety planning and building confidence and self-esteem. Sessions will take place in safe community settings around Dundee and travel is provided (as are snacks!).

We accept self-referrals, as well as referrals from all support organisations, education, local authority etc. If you are interested in finding out more, please get in touch with us through any of the ways below:
