“WE ARE FEELING STRONG:”
We exist to make sure that every young person in Dundee who has experienced a mental health condition is supported to reach their full potential.
Our Peer Coaching & Listening service is accessible to any young person who lives, works, or studies in Dundee between the ages of 12 and 26. We offer young people a safe space to discuss their mental health and wellbeing challenges in confidence with one of our peer coaches.
We offer our service users person-centred support and guidance through active listening; recovery-focused goal setting; signposting and referrals to other relevant services; and sharing useful resources, content, and practices for them to explore with us or in their own time.
Referrals to our service can be completed by the young person themselves, their parents, healthcare provider, or member of education staff. Young people are then sent an appointment link where they can book themselves in for a time that suits them. Sessions last for 40 minutes, however young people have access to the service for as long as they need. We currently operate our service on Wednesdays between 1100 – 1900 and offer sessions both online over Google Meet or face-to-face here at the Feeling Strong hub.
More information about this service and our referral form can be found here on our website.
